Creating a form

While in the Manage Forms area of ShoutCMS, you can create or clone a form to use on your ShoutCMS website. Forms are a series of input fields that securely collect information from site visitors.

Creating a new form

When you create a new form, you'll be able to fill in three key areas associated with your form:

1. The form fields
2. A thank you message
3. Email notifications

Form fields

These are the questions that you're asking users to answer within your form. There are a variety of different form fields you can select from, and you can adjust the title for each.

1. Select from a variety of field types
2. Move and adjust the order of questions
3. Add field titles

Thank you messages

If you'd like, you can provide a thank you message that appears on the page when a site visitor fills out your form successfully. You can also configure an email message if you have the visitor's email linked to your ShoutCMS platform.

Email notifications

You can specify a particular email address to be notified when a form has been filled out.

Managing forms

ShoutCMS lets you modify and update your forms at any time, without losing any submission data. Visit the Manage Forms area of ShoutCMS to view all of your ShoutCMS forms.

3. View submissions by form version

Updating a form

Click on the form you want to modify, make your adjustments, and click save. All of your changes should appear shortly for your site visitors.

Deleting a form

Before you delete a form, make sure you export all of the form information - if it is valuable to you.

Cloning a form

To save yourself time, you can clone a form and adjust it as needed instead of creating a new form.

Viewing submissions

To help you with creating reports, you can generate exportable searches of your form submission data. These will help you quickly analyze and discuss how your site visitors are engaging with your forms.

Generating an exportable search

For a detailed list of form submission data that you can use in your reports, you can use the Advanced Search tools in the Submissions area of ShoutCMS. 

Here are some key fields you'll want to fill out before exporting your submission data:

1. Form
2. Form version (if you modified a form)
3. Groups
4. Columns
